Evesham United boss Paul Collicutt has called on his men to play with “freedom” at basement boys Bridgwater Town tomorrow (3pm) according to the Worcester News.

With their opponents yet to record a victory this season, the Robins will be big favourites to collect three points from Fairfax Park.

But Collicutt insists his 13th-placed side must not let the pressure of “expectancy” get the better of them in the Southern League Division One South and West encounter.

“You can get mounting pressure due to the position Bridgwater are in, so hopefully we can go there and just play with freedom,” he said.

“There are expectations to do this or that but you have to work hard in whatever you do.

“I just want to go there, get the three points and move on from there.”

Collicutt, who will be without the suspended Leroy Odiero, also wants to see more goals from his team having scored just twice in four games.

“Defensively, we were a lot better last week (in the 0-0 draw against AFC Totton),” he added.

“But we still were unable to put the ball in the back of the net and that’s what wins you games.”

Experienced winger Leon Jeanne, 35, has left Evesham after a brief spell.
