Yesterday, Evesham Robin’s Under 10’s played against Stratford Town in the Ambassador Evesham Football League cup semi final.

Both teams started strongly with good attacking football. Malachy Grout for Evesham collected the ball in his own half and shot from the half way line and made the score line 1-0 to Evesham.

Stratford then came at Evesham strongly and equalised with a shot going into the bottom corner making the score 1-1.

The first half was tight and it was an even game. Straight into the second half and Stratford come out strong to make the score line 2-1. Evesham however did not give up creating lots of passing moves which led to a great goal from Fletcher Ford to put the score 2-2.

Both teams then played great football and working hard for the win. A substitute was made just before the full time whistle to bring Joey on. With Stratford attacking strongly Evesham were on the back foot. However a counter attack from Joey saw him strike the ball from distance to put the ball in the bottom corner and make the score 3-2 Evesham.

Both teams felt the pressure up until the full time whistle which when blown put Evesham into their first Cup Final. Both teams played well in a game that could have gone any way. The Final will be at Bretforton on the 23rd April against Central Ajax so please feel free to come and support.
