Evesham entertained a much improved Droitwich Belles in their final game of the season on Thursday with probably their strongest squad of the season playing.

It was a very entertaining game. The visitors took the lead after a mistake by the reliable Hollie Ree and made it two from a corner. Evesham had numerous chances with the impressive Emily Young and Domi Mayhew making surging runs into the box but shooting straight at the keeper when well placed.

The second half started with Droitwich going further in front after ten minutes.  Still chances went begging for Evesham from Rosie Johns and Grace Harker. A free kick in their own half was taken by Millie Meadows who was having her final game for the club which deceived the keeper and rolled over the line, then a through ball found Young who netted.  A free kick from Johns produced a good save from the keeper with time running out Young had a further chance but shot wide.

So the seasons over which has been frustrating due to many postponements and lack of numbers at times, but the spirit is strong and hopefully with the clubs support be back next season.
