In the league, Merthyr have started with a 2-2 at Swindon Supermarine and a 1-0 injury time win at home to Shortwood United.  They won 1-0 at Cirencester Town in the F.A. Cup on Saturday.

Recent history saw in 2010, Merthyr Tydfil F.C. of the Southern Football League Premier Division being liquidated despite finishing the 2009-10 season 17th of 22 clubs. The club was reformed under the name of Merthyr Town and consequently were required to drop three divisions to begin the 2010–11 season in the Western Football League Division One.  Consecutive promotions see them in Southern League South & West and they will be one of the favourites for promotion.

After beng knocked out of the FA Cup away to Leek FC, we will be hoping to build on our league momentum on Bank Holiday Monday. We will be looking to continue our 100% record and make it 3 wins out of 3.

Kick off 3pm
