Evesham United put in a good performance today in their FA Cup First Qualifying Round match at home to Southern Premier League Redditch United.

Redditch hit the post in the third minute and had the best of the opening exchanges, before Evesham gained confidence and created some half chances.

In the second half the game continued to be an even affair.  Evesham had a good chance when a Lance Smith drive was parried by the Redditch keeper to George Washbourne who could not quite force the ball home.

In injury time Ashley Edenborough found space in the box but shot over.

Overall an excellent performance against higher graded opponents.  The replay is at the Valley Stadium on Monday night at 7.45pm.
