Evesham secured a replay after coming from behind to draw 1-1 at Chasetown this afternoon in the FA Trophy Preliminary Round.
The visitors went behind on the quarter hour when Mugisha capitalised on a mistake by Matt Sysum shooting home from 18 yards. Evesham created the better chances with Wood, Macdonald and Smith but could not put them away.
Defences were on top in the second half until Chasetown’s Danny Edwards was sent off. This gave Evesham hope and in the 85th minute they were awarded a penalty when Adam Mann was fouled in the box. Matt Sysum converted it to set up a replay on Tuesday night at the Jubilee Stadium at 7.45pm.
