EVESHAM UNITED FC SQUAD 2017-18

PAUL COLLICUTT

Manager

Paul is a former player with Swindon Town, Trowbridge Town, Cheltenham Town, Gloucester City, Forest Green Rovers, Newport AFC and Cinderford Town.  He was Assistant Manager to Frank Gregan at Forest Green and Nick Jordan at Evesham United.  A Cleeve boy born and bred, Collicutt captained Cheltenham Town to the Southern League title and promotion to the Alliance Premier League in 1985.  He re-joined his home town club, Bishops Cleeve, as a player in 1999 and during his decade at the club went on to successfully manage them into the Southern League.  Paul returned to management with Evesham in November 2013.


GERRY OLDHAM

Assistant Manager

Gerry was assistant manager to John Brough at Cinderford Town for two seasons before taking up a similar role at the Jubilee Stadium during the summer of 2016. Before that he enjoyed a long association with local side Cheltenham Saracens.


MARK LOCKWOOD

Coach

Mark moved to the Jubilee Stadium at the same time as Gerry Oldham after serving Cinderford Town during their title winning campaign. Spent two seasons at the Causeway Ground and previous to that worked with Oldham at Cheltenham Saracens.


KEVIN SAWYER 

Goalkeeper – D.O.B. 14/4/80 

Experienced goalkeeper who joined the Robins at the start of the 2014/15 season from Mangotsfield United. Also appeared for Gloucester City and Cirencester Town.


SAM GILDER

Goalkeeper – D.O.B. 23/03/98

Moved from neighbours Bishops Cleeve during the summer of 2016 and is a capable understudy to Kevin Sawyer. Can also play in an outfield role if needed.


LEWIS BINNS 

Defender – D.O.B. 10/11/95

Competitive defender now in his fourth season at Evesham after moving the short distance from Bishops Cleeve. Quick and capable of playing anywhere down the left. 


LINDEN DOVEY

Defender – D.O.B. 13/10/86 

Club captain who is a strong defender in his fifth season at the Jubilee Stadium. Quick and reads the game well. Linden did play as a striker for a number of years.  Also turned out for Rushall Olympic and Stourbridge.


MATT WILLIAMS

Defender/Midfield – D.O.B. 14/01/94

The 23 year-old defender or midfield player is back for a second spell with United having also played for Cheltenham Town, Bishops Cleeve and more recently Gloucester City.


LEROY ODIERO

Defender – D.O.B. 07/05/95

Signed for Evesham last season, formerly with Bishop’s Cleeve, Slimbridge, Cinderford Town and Cheltenham Saracens, He also spent two weeks on trial with Forest Green Rovers during the summer of 2016.


MATTHEW LIDDIARD

Midfield – D.O.B 15/09/92

Summer signing from Cirencester Town where he had been club captain. Strong central midfielder who has also appeared for Gloucester City.


LORCAN SHEEHAN

Midfield – D.O.B. 12/07/89 

Midfielder in his second spell with the Robins. Was part of Cinderford Town’s title winning side in 2015-16. Very skilful and hardworking.


JOE TURLEY

Midfield – D.O.B. 15/10/93

Another member of Cinderford Town’s championship squad. Signed for Evesham at the start of the 2016/17 season. Spent much of last season out injured. Strong midfielder who also has an eye for goal.


CARL BROWN

Midfield/Striker – D.O.B. 16/07/88

Beginning his fifth full season at the Jubilee Stadium after originally signing for the club in November 2012, before departing towards the end of that season. Can play in midfield or in attack. Has also played for Bishops Cleeve.

 


ASHLEY WILLIAMS

Midfield – D.O.B. 14/05/86

Experienced midfielder who moved from Premier Division Paulton Rovers in the summer of 2015. Strong and hardworking player who has also played for Chippenham Town and Mangotsfield United. Vice-Captain and Player Coach.


JORDAN BRYAN

Midfield – D.O.B. 15/01/94 

Signed during the summer of 2016 from Bishops Cleeve. Can play in midfield or up front and likes to run at defenders.


NICK HANCOCK

Midfield – 10/09/1991

Midfielder who spent last season with league rivals Shortwood United. Hardworking player who always gives 100%. Was a member of the FA Cup ‘giant killing’ Shortwood side from a few years ago.


BRADLEY GRAY

Midfield – D.O.B.  05/07/90

Midfielder who moved to the Jubilee Stadium last season from league rivals North Leigh. As a youth player at Leyton Orient he went on to have loan spells at St. Albans City, Grays Athletic, AFC Hornchurch and Dulwich Hamlet. After his release from Orient in 2009 he moved to Salisbury City making 43 appearances before moving to Forest Green Rovers. Bradley has since played for Swindon Supermarine and Hungerford Town.


PAUL FAHY

Midfield/Striker – D.O.B. 14/12/93

Topped Slimbridge’s goalscoring charts before moving to the Jubilee Stadium in the summer of 2016. A natural goalscorer who is quick and skilful.


ARCHIE HASKAYNE

Midfield – D.O.B.  18/01/98

Signing from Slimbridge AFC last season, the former Worcester City and Gloucester City youth player has made a big impact at the Jubilee Stadium. Played at Cheltenham Saracens , helping them finish in a promotion position in Division One West of the Hellenic League before Slimbridge gave him his chance at Southern League level.  Recently signed a contract until the end of the 2017/18 season.


ADAM MANN

Striker – D.O.B. 16/09/91

Adam signed permanently from Gloucester City at the end of January 2015 after an initial loan spell.  Broke into the Tigers side as a teenager in 2010 after impressing for the club’s youth development. Originally a winger but after a spell at Shortwood United, he returned to the Tigers as a complete forward who excelled at setting up, as well as scoring goals.

 


JAMES CAMPBELL

Striker – D.O.B 01/04/1988

Another summer signing who has stepped up several levels after scoring 34 goals for Charlton Rovers in the Northern Senior League Division One last season. Originally he gave playing football with Cheltenham Town at the age of 14 to go into athletics, where he won the Commonwealth Youth Games title in the Javelin, and also reached the final at the World Junior Championships.


LEWIS POWELL

Striker – D.O.B 14/01/1988

Re-signed for Evesham United from Taunton Town. Lewis has also previously played for Mangotsfield. Lewis has scored 74 goals over the last two seasons. He will be looking to continue his impressive scoring record now back with the Robins.
