Evesham United began the final month of the season on a disappointing note losing 3-0 at neighbours Bishops Cleeve in the Evo-Stik Southern South & West.

After a blank first-half, the Villagers took control after the interval to net three times and leave the Robins without a win in four games. Despite kicking against the wind, Evesham edged the opening half with Luke Corbett, Marcus Palmer and Jamie Hyde all going close to making the breakthrough.

Two goals in two minutes, however, turned the game in Bishops Cleeve`s favour. Michael Tambling struck an upright and the ball sat-up nicely for Joe Parker to head home into an empty net, then two minutes later Parker was bundled over in the area by Chris Jackson who was subsequently shown a straight red card and Michael Jackson easily netted from the spot.

The result was put beyond doubt on 73 minutes when Zal Katowica found space before firing beyond keeper Ben McNamara. Evesham enjoyed a decent spell towards the end when skipper Matt Sysum twice went close with headers from Richard Mansell corners, but never seriously tested James Nortel in the Cleeve goal.
