Evesham secured an excellent win after overcoming second placed Taunton Town at the Jubilee today.

The visitors started brightly and dominated possession in the Evesham half for the first fifteen minutes.  The hosts came back into the game with Haskayne, Magee and Bryan all having opportunities.  Just past the half hour mark, Jordan Bryan collected the ball in the middle of the park and in the absence of any meaningful challenge ran half the pitch to drive across Lloyd Irish into the far corner.

The second half was an even affair early on and then the key moment came ten minutes in when Taunton had a golden chance to draw level when Ross Staley got clear on the left and squared to Craig Veal but with the target gaping his effort was kept out brilliantly by keeper Kevin Sawyer.

Evesham looked the more threatening for the rest of the half and sealed victory in the sixth minute of injury time when Adam Mann turned well in the box to fire home.

Evesham now move up to fourth and are unbeaten in five games. The result saw Hereford FC become champions.
