  • Match Report: Banbury Utd 0 vs Evesham Utd 0

    September 1, 2015

Evesham left the Spencer Stadium with a well deserved draw to remain unbeaten away from home in the Evo-Stik Southern South & West Division. It was a much improved display by the Robins after the disappointing FA Cup exit at Chasetown three days earlier and only an assistant`s flag denied United from snatching an injury-time winner.

    Stanley: Goal Disallowed
Evesham made a positive start and threatened inside the opening five minutes when Jack Harding in the Banbury goal successfully saved at full stretch to turn around a post George Washbourne`s first-time drive. Evesham continued to enjoy the majority of possession in the first half and Liam Harding forced the home ...

  • Match Report: Chasetown 2 vs Evesham Utd 0

    September 1, 2015

Any hopes Evesham United had of repeating last season`s  FA Cup heroics were dashed at the first hurdle when Evo-Stik NPL Southern Division Chasetown defeated the Robins in the Preliminary Round at Church Road. United who reached the Fourth Qualifying Round last season, came strong towards the end but never did enough throughout the 90 minutes to get past the renowned FA Cup `giantkillers`.
An uneventful start to the game suddenly changed on 18 minutes when Chasetown won a penalty when Lewis Rankin was sent tumbling in the box by Linden Dovey. However, keeper Kevin Sawyer showed his class with a fabulous one-handed save to keep out Paul ...

  • Result: Banbury Utd 0 vs Evesham Utd 0

    August 31, 2015

Evesham United had much the better of the early stages of the game. In the sixth minute Jack Harding in the Banbury goal did well to dive at full stretch to tip away round the post for a corner a shot from the left hand edge of the penalty area by George Washbourne.

On 16 minutes Evesham went close again when a cross from the left by Sean Wood fell to Adam Mann at the six yard line, the Robins striker doing well to make room for a shot but Bradley Partner came to United’s rescue doing equally as well to ...

  • Trip to Banbury United Tomorrow

    August 30, 2015

We travel to Banbury United tomorrow for a 3pm kick-off.

Both sides will be looking to bounce back from FA Cup disappointments on Saturday, Evesham going down 2-0 away to Chasetown whilst Banbury lost 5-2 away to Combined Counties Premier Division side Hartley Wintney.
Banbury have made a similar start to the current campaign as ourselves having gained eight points, just one more than us, from their first five games.
Banbury were relegated from the Southern Premier League last season.
We played Banbury last year in the  First Qualifying Round of the FA Trophy. The game at Evesham ended 2-2 and Banbury then squeezed through 1-0 with a ...

  • Result: Chasetown 2 vs Evesham Utd 0

    August 30, 2015

Evesham came into this cup tie having won the three previous FA Cup ties all by 2-0 scorelines against Chasetown.
The Scholars had the perfect opportunity to take the lead in the twentieth minute when Lewis Rankin motored past Linden Dovey who tugged the winger’s shirt inside the penalty area.

Paul Sullivan struck the spot kick powerfully but keeper Kevin Sawyer saved well high to his right.
Substitutes Nathan Waite and Lee Butler combined to create an opening which was partially cleared before Butler’s cross was headed against the outside of the post by Sullivan at the far post.
Within seconds Butler teed up ...
