    The Under 13 Juniors capped off an excellent season by winning the Alcester Town tournament with impressive wins over Alcester, Bidford, Kenilworth and Stratford Town conceding only one goal. The final was settled by penalties with keeper Jordan Brown saving Stratford’s last effort and coolly slotting the winner with the next penalty! The Juniors are looking for high quality players to join the squad for next season, and if you are interested please call Manager Martin Whittaker on 07976 438597.

    To meet programme deadlines, the auction will end at 8PM ON TUESDAY 25TH JUNE. So far we have had bids to play for Liverpool and one for Manchester United.  There are still two places without bids for Manchester Utd.  As for Liverpool, the lowest of the three winning bid amounts received as of today (Tuesday 18th) is £200. ORIGINAL POSTING When Manchester United and Liverpool Legends take to the field at 2pm on July 6th at Evesham United, you too can be in the line-up.  Evesham United are offering 6 people, 3 from each team, the chance to play at least 20 minutes in the forthcoming match at the Spiers and Hartwell Jubilee Stadium. This opportunity will be available by an auction taking the three highest bids for each team.  The package includes being in your respective dressing room before the game, warming up with your heroes and then playing at least 20 minutes in front of an expected crowd of 2,000 plus.  Also included is a match ball, your name announced over the tannoy and published in the souvenir programme.  The minimum bid is £150, so if interested please email webeditor@eveshamunitedfc.com with your bid amount, name, address and telephone number, plus the team you wish to play for.  The three highest bid amounts for each club will be announced on the Evesham United website on a regular basis.  The names of the highest bidders will be kept anonymous until the auction ends.

    Evesham United U13’s are currently looking for additional players to strengthen their squad for the forthcoming season in the Junior Premier League. The U13’s are part of the new Evesham Development Centre and will play and train at their superb facilities next to their new stadium on Cheltenham Road, Evesham. This is an excellent development opportunity for players of high quality and potential to play a very high level football in the Junior Premier League. On match days you will play in a safe, controlled environment and will receive excellent level coaching and development opportunities. Training takes place 2 nights a week and this opportunity is only for those who can commit. Evesham are currently offering players the opportunity to trial on Thursday evenings, 6.30-7.30pm.   • News from Southern League AGM

    The Southern League AGM was held in Torquay today. The compilation of the divisions is still not agreed as both Guildford City and Godalming Town have appealed against their placement in Division South & West. The FA met on Friday to hear their appeals but no decision was reached. The case was adjourned and a decision is expected early next week. Secondly, the League has a new sponsor in Calor Gas with the league being known next season as The Calor League.
