  • Bashley Visit Jubilee Tomorrow

    February 5, 2016

Manager Paul Collicutt has described the visit of whipping boys Bashley to the Jubilee Stadium tomorrow (3pm) as a potential “banana skin” for Evesham United according to the Evesham Journal.
Bottom club Bashley have yet to pick up a point this season with 25 straight defeats in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West while conceding 120 goals.
However, Collicutt, whose side came from behind to win 4-1 at Bashley in August, says his players must guard against complacency.
“It is potentially a big banana skin,” he said. “They’ve obviously had a bad season but I am sure they will pick up a point ...

  • Ladies Beat Droitwich

    February 1, 2016

Evesham Ladies returned after five weeks without a game to record a comfortable 2-0 defeat of a spirited Droitwich BGFC.
The hosts scored early in both halves the first a goal from Natalie Potter high into the roof of the net after a fine move with Domi Mayhew. The visitors were having lots of possession without having a shot at goal. Evesham had further chances through Emily Young, Amy Summers  and Tash Bryant, but the shooting was off target when well placed.
The second half started with a strong wind at their backs with Mayhew scoring the second goal with a fine ...

    February 1, 2016

  • Result: AFC Totton 2 vs Evesham United 2

    January 30, 2016

AFC Totton were denied a third consecutive victory as Evesham United fought back to clinch a draw as Adam Mann scored a controversial equaliser.
Mann also opened the scoring for Evesham but his early effort was cancelled out by goals from Nathaniel Sherborne and Nick Watts for Totton.
Despite this it wasn’t enough for Totton in what was a very open and frantic game.
The Stags had an early chance after Watts put Neil Williams in on goal, but he dragged his shot inches wide of the far post in the third minute.

Evesham then broke the deadlock ten minutes later when a dangerous ...

  • Preview of Trip to AFC Totton

    January 29, 2016

Evesham United travel to the Testwood Stadium on Saturday to face AFC Totton in what promises to be a tricky away test according to the Gloucestershire Echo.
Paul Collicutt’s men go into the game on the back of a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Didcot Town last time out and the Evesham boss is expecting a big response from his players.
“It was a bad day at the office for us at Didcot,” he said. “Looking at my players from that game I can say only three or four came away with any credit and the rest let me down on the day.”
