  • Malcolm Davis Funeral Date

    September 2, 2014

    The funeral service for Malcolm Davis will take place at St. Peters Church, Bengeworth at 1.00pm on Tuesday 9th September. This will be followed by a burial at Waterside Cemetary. After the burial everyone will then meet up at Evesham United Football Club.

    Evesham United booked themselves a home game with neighbours Redditch United in the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup courtesy of a deserved 3-1 victory over their Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Division One South opponents. The Robins rallied after going a goal behind to comfortably make it through the Preliminary Round tie with Jared Wilson scoring twice from the penalty spot to head United`s goalscoring charts with four goals in seven games.

    Evesham progressed to the FA Cup First Qualifying Round with a comfortable 3-1 victory of Northern Premier League Division One South side Kidsgrove Athletic.  
    Without Lance Smith, Paul Collicutt handed a debut to new signing George Washbourne.
    Despite having the better of the early exchanges, the visitors took the lead on 32 minutes when Joseph Woolley scored.  Evesham hit back a minute before half time when George Washbourne equalised.

  • FA Cup Trail Starts Tomorrow

    Evesham United are hoping Elliot Kennedy won’t be missing for too long after his injury scare against Stratford Town writes Steve Carley of the Worcester News.
    The Bank Holiday Monday match, which the Robins won 2-0, was stopped for nearly an hour after the midfielder landed awkwardly on his neck attempting an overhead kick. He was taken to hospital in Warwick but has since been released.
    Kennedy has been ruled out of tomorrow’s FA Cup preliminary round home match against Kidsgrove Athletic (3pm).

  • Club President Passes Away

    Long serving former committee member and club Chairman Malcolm Davis passed away early on the morning of Wednesday 27th August at the age of 74.
    At the time of his death, Malcolm held the position of Club President and was also a Trustee of the club.
    Malcolm will be sadly missed by all his friends at the football club. A minute’s silence will be held before the FA Cup match against Kidsgrove Athletic on Saturday.

  • Date Set for Worcestershire Senior Cup Match

    The draw was made recently for the First Round of the Worcestershire Senior Cup and just for a change United were drawn away to Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division side Stourbridge! The game will be played on Tuesday 23rd September at 7.45pm.

  • Midfielder Signs From Stourbridge

    The Robins have swooped to sign 20-year-old George Washbourne from Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division side Stourbridge.  The young midfielder has joined in time to be included in Saturday’s squad for the FA Cup tie with Kidsgrove Athletic.  Washbounre had spells with Redditch United, Forest Green Rovers and Nuneaton Town and spent last season with the Glassboys.

  • One In, One Out

    Ethan Moore, who joined after the first game of the season and started two games and came on as sub twice, scoring once, has today signed for Cinderford Town.
    Meanwhile last weekend Nick Stanley, a left sided player, was signed from Southern Premier League side Hungerford Town.  He made his debut as a substitute against AFC Totton before making his full debut at Stratford Town and scoring the opener.  Nick previously played, amongst others, for Oxford City and Swindon Supermarine.
