    Evesham won their sixth consecutive league game this afternoon with a convincing 3-0 victory at Clevedon Town.
    Evesham went in front on twenty minutes when a long goal-kick from Kevin Sawyer, found Nick Stanley all on his own behind the defensive line and he had the easiest of runs before slipping the ball past the advancing keeper.  On the half hour he scored again scoring at the back post after a Sean Wood corner.
    In the second half, George Washbourne crossed from the left in the 55th minute and Adam Mann put the chance away.

  • Trip to Clevedon Today

    Evesham United manager Paul Collicutt will include new signing Ollie Knowles in his squad for today’s trip to lowly Clevedon Town (3pm) – (Worcester News Friday).
    Knowles joined the Robins this week from Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division outfit Paulton Rovers and previously played at Weston-super-Mare. Evesham have won their last five matches, including last Saturday’s impressive 2-1 victory at Larkhall Athletic. The Robins are eighth in the table, just outside the Division One South and West play-offs.

    United have signed midfielder Ollie Knowles who goes straight into the squad for tonight’s game at Cinderford Town.  Knowles joins the Robins from Southern Premier Division side Paulton Rovers. He was previously with Weston-Super-Mare in the Conference South and made over 30 first team appearances for the Seagulls last season.

    Evesham made it five wins out of five and six unbeaten with a fine victory at Larkhall Athletic today.  Travelling to the Bath-based hosts for the first time, Evesham took an early lead in the third minute through Ashley Edenborough whose unstoppable shot went in off the underside of the bar.
    The visitors could thank stopper Kevin Sawyer for keeping them ahead with three fine saves, however in the 38th minute Horam’s fierce drive from outside the area went in for a deserved equaliser for Larkhall.
