    Evesham United boss Paul Collicutt has vowed to ring the changes for tomorrow’s home clash with Barnstaple Town (3pm) according to the Worcester News.
    The Robins had their wings clipped in a 2-1 defeat to Wimborne Town on Sunday with Collicutt quick to emphasise how far below par his side had been.
    New strikers Lewis Powell and Ethan Moore showed promise after coming on in the 63rd minute of that clash and could come into contention for starts as United look to bounce back.

    The under 18s have been drawn at home to Walsall Wood in the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Youth Cup. The fixture is to be played the week commencing 2nd October 2017.

    A brace from visiting substitute Toby Holmes saw Evesham United slip to a rare home defeat after failing to produce their Sunday best against Wimborne.
    An uneventful first half was followed by an action-packed second with Archie Haskayne’s blast within 40 seconds of the restart lighting the blue touch paper.
    The Robins could and should have stamped their authority on proceedings but got caught with a sucker punch when Toby Holmes netted a rebound with his first touch.

    United skipper Linden Dovey’s hesitancy then proved decisive as Toby Holmes pinched possession and rolled under Kevin Sawyer with eight minutes remaining.

    After scoring 74 goals in the last two seasons, Lewis Powell is hoping he can help fire Evesham United to promotion this year.
    The former Bristol Rovers professional has missed out in the play-off final twice, with Chippenham Town and Taunton Town.

    He has now returned to Evesham from Taunton, having spent a brief period at the Jubilee Stadium just under two years ago. The 29-year-old will be in the squad for Sunday’s home match against Wimborne Town (3pm). Gloucester City have priority for Saturday as they are in the FA Cup.

  • Lewis Powell Joins From Taunton Town

    Evesham United can confirm the signing of striker Lewis Powell from Taunton Town
    The former Mangotsfield United forward spent a brief time at Evesham two years ago when he made three substitute appearances scoring one goal and he is now back at the Jubilee Stadium.
    “Lewis is well known for his goalscoring record at this level,” boss Paul Collicutt said. “He scored 32 goals last season and that was with an injury. His previous spell was short and sweet, but you never close the door on anyone in football and we are pleased to have him back”.

  • Sportsman’s Dinner with Bruce Grobbelaar

    On Saturday 9th December, Evesham United will be hosting another Sportsman’s Dinner at the Jubilee Stadium. There will be a five course meal with tickets costing £35.  The guest speaker will be ex-Liverpool goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar, plus a top class comedian.   Time: 7pm for 7.30pm.
