  • Trip to Taunton tomorrow

    Elliot Kennedy returns to Evesham United’s squad for Saturday’s trip to Taunton Town.
    The winger has been struggling with a hamstring injury, but he is fit and boss Paul Collicutt is also hoping Forest Green loan youngster Louis McGrory will be in the squad.

    McGrory suffered a hamstring injury two games ago, but will be given a late fitness test.

    Jordan Bryan is available, but Lorcan Sheehan and Lewis Binns are both suspended.

  • Friendly with Forest Green Rovers Monday

    National League side Forest Green Rovers are bringing their squad to the Jubilee Stadium on Monday evening 5th December for a friendly. Rovers are without a league game tomorrow and enquired if they could have a workout against Paul Collicutt’s men.
    The game will kick-off at 7.30pm and admission is £3 and under 16 £1.

    Evesham United have the chance to claim a record-breaking 12th successive league win at Didcot Town tonight (7.45pm) according to the Worcester News.
    In the 1967-68 campaign, the Robins won the opening 11 games on their way to becoming Worcestershire Combination champions.
    Paul Collicutt’s men equalled the record run with a 3-2 victory over Salisbury on Saturday in Southern League Division One South and West.
    Evesham’s boss now wants his players to make history.
    “I believe the record is 11, so hopefully we can beat that,” said Collicutt, whose side went on a 10-match winning streak at the end of the 2014-15 campaign.

    Evesham`s biggest crowd of the season witnessed an absorbing five-goal thriller as United edged past a strong Salisbury side 3-2 in the Evo-Stik Southern South & West Division. United who finished the game with ten men, were three goals to the good entering the last ten minutes but then two late strikes by the visitors set-up a grandstand finish with United holding on by the skin of their teeth for an impressive 11th league win in a row and remain second in the table eight points adrift of leaders Hereford.

    Evesham made it 11 wins in a row and 12 unbeaten with a thrilling 3-2 home win over Salisbury in front of their biggest crowd of the season.
    The visitors, managed by Steve Claridge, dominated the opening quarter and should have been ahead.  Evesham settled and got into their stride, going ahead on 35 minutes as the ball fizzed around the box and it was Lance Smith with a stooping header to score.
