Evesham United made it one defeat in 27 games and nine wins in a row with a hard fought 2-1 victory over Tiverton Town at the Jubilee Stadium. The win leaves Evesham in third place, but to secure second on the last day of the season need to better Stratford Town’s result. The Robins travel to Bridgwater Town and Stratford visit champions Merthyr Town.

Manager Paul Collicutt has ordered one final push from his Evesham United players in their bid to finish second in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West writes Steve Carley in the Worcester News.
Last Saturday’s 5-1 victory at Didcot Town guaranteed the Robins at least third place and ensured they will be at home in the play-off semi-final.
But they are just one point behind second-placed Stratford Town and intent on putting the pressure on with success in the penultimate league match of the season against Tiverton Town at the Spiers and Hartwell Jubilee Stadium tomorrow (3pm).

Evesham entertained second in the league Bridgnorth Ladies with 10 players available and Bridgnorth started with 9 players. From the start the game was very scrappy with the strong wind playing havoc.
Bridgnorth with the wind in their favour were on top winning the midfield battle and having a number of corners, but Evesham defending well as a team tackling and blocking all the visitors attacks and having half chances of their own but shooting weakly.
Bridgnorth then had 11 players just before half-time, with the half finishing 0-0.

The Reserves won their Evesham Hospital Minor Cup semi-final at the weekend 2-0 against Inkberrow Reserves at the Jubilee. The goals came from Remal Johnson and Ty Knight.
Meanwhile last night the Youth Team lost their Supplementary Cup semi-final at home to Rushall Olympic going down 3-1 after extra time.

After a successful season Evesham United’s Junior Premier League team will be holding trials for the season 2015/16. We will be looking at players that are current year 9 to represent Evesham next season in the Under 15’s.
The trials are to be held at the Jubilee Stadium, Evesham, WR11 2LZ on Monday 18th May from 6pm.

For the second successive game Evesham found the back of the net five times to comprehensively brush aside Didcot Town and end the Railwaymen`s chances of finishing in the Evo-Stik Southern South & West play-offs. It was another awesome display by the Robins who never looked back after going 2-0 ahead early doors and comfortably make it eight wins on the bounce and just one defeat in 26 games in a remarkable run of results for Paul Collicutt`s men.

Evesham United guaranteed a home play off match with this fine 5-1 victory at sixth placed Didcot Town this afternoon. Cheered on by a good number of away fans, Evesham took the lead in the 10th minute when Adam Mann scored from 20 yards. Two minutes later it was 2-0 following a foul on Lee Smith in the box, Matt Sysum scored with the resultant penalty. On the half hour Pablo Haysham tapped in after a long range shot was parried by Kevin Sawyer. It was 2-1 to Evesham at half time.

Evesham United manager Paul Collicutt is hoping the first-half of Easter Monday’s match against Wantage Town will act as a wake-up call for his team ahead of the play-offs says Steve Carley in the Worcester News.
