• Local Sides Entertained at Jubilee This Week

    Two local sides are playing at the Jubilee Stadium this week.
    First up is Midland League Division 1 side Littleton who play the first team at 7.45pm tomorrow in a friendly – £5 Adults, £3 Concessions, £1 5-16 year olds
    Then on Thursday 30th July, the Reserves are at home to Badsey Rangers in a pre-season friendly, kick-off 7.45pm.

    The Saturday morning fixture for 3rd and 4th place in the experimental Worcestershire Senior Cup pre-season tournament ended in a convincing win for Gary Whild`s men with the impressive Gurjit Singh bagging a hat-trick for a youthful looking Harriers side.
    Singh got the ball rolling as early as the first minute capitalising on hesitancy in the United defence and slotting home after rounding Robins reserve team keeper Josh Goddard. Evesham responded when George Washbourne forced Harrier`s stopper Alex Palmer to make a fine save touching over the winger`s powerful drive.     Worcester City will meet Redditch United in the final of the Worcestershire
    Senior Cup thanks to Tristian Dunkley`s winning goal ten minutes from time
    in a competitive work out at the Jubilee Stadium.
    Redditch earned the right to play the Blue and Whites in this Saturday`s
    final at Aggborough after a 3-0 penalty shoot-out win against Kidderminster
    Harriers at the Valley Stadium on Monday night.
    Evesham`s cause was not helped when Marcus Jackson was sent-off just after
    the hour mark and then Liam Harding limped off leaving the Robins to play

  • Result: Evesham Utd 1 vs Worcester City 2

    Evesham were beaten in the Worcestershire Senior Cup Semi-Final tonight.
    Evesham took the lead in the 12th minute when Ashley Edenborough bagged. In the 26th minute Sean Geddes equalised for the visitors.
    In the second half Marcus Jackson was sent off. The winner for the side two leagues higher than Evesham came with 10 minutes to go from Tristian Dunkley.

    Evesham entertain Worcester City this evening at 7,45pm in the semi-finals of the Worcestershire Senior Cup. Admission is £9 for Adults, £5 for Concessions and £2 for 5-16 year olds.
    The winners will play in the final on Saturday 25th July at Aggborough, home of Kidderminster Harriers.

    Actors from Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Waterloo Road will take on some of Evesham’s finest footballers in a charity football tournament.
    The Growers United FC versus Soap Stars XI match will be the highlight of a family and football weekend.
    It is the latest event organised by Growers United FC, an initiative which began when a group of local growers played in a friendly football match against Evesham United to raise funds for charity, and has the support of Wychavon District Council.

    United continued their build-up to the start of the new season with a narrow defeat against Stratford Town at the Jubilee Stadium on Tuesday night. It was another good work out for the Robins following on from the decent display against Cheltenham Town two days earlier.
