  • Match Report & Pictures: Evesham Utd 3 vs Yate Town 1

    September 28, 2016

Evesham extended their unbeaten run to four games with their best performance of the season to see off Yate Town, who themselves arrived at the Jubilee Stadium with three straight wins in the Evo-Stik Southern South & West Division.

It was an attacking masterclass especially in the first-half by the Robins who ran their Bristol based visitors ragged with a brand of sublime one touch football and movement off the ball. United showed their intentions from the start with Jordan Bryan having his shot cleared off the line by Town defender Mayson Evans after just two minutes. But it wasn`t long before Bryan found Lance Smith down the right and ...

  • Mini Match Report: Evesham United 3 vs Yate Town 1

    September 27, 2016

Evesham moved up to fifth place in the League after a comfortable 3-1 victory over Yate Town who had won their last three games.
The first half was the best seen this season at the Jubilee and if more of the clear cut chances had been taken the home side could have had 7 or 8.  However three goals were scored.
The first in the 7th minute cane after a Jordan Bryan defence splitting pass to Lance Smith who beat the offside trap and squared the ball to Adam Mann who scored into an empty net from ten yards.
    It was 2-o on ...

  • Yate Visit Jubilee Tonight

    September 27, 2016

Manager Paul Collicutt has warned his in-form side not to underestimate Yate Town when they visit Evesham United at the Jubilee Stadium tonight (7.45pm) according to the Worcester News.
The Robins followed up their 5-0 triumph at Bridgwater Town with a 3-0 victory at Paulton Rovers on Saturday to move up to sixth in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West.
However, Collicutt admits his players will need to be on their guard against 16th-placed Yate, who stunned much-fancied Salisbury 3-1 at the weekend.
“Yate are probably one of the form sides in the league at the minute,” Collicutt said.
    “They have won ...

  • Match Report: Evesham Utd Youth 4 vs Dudley Sports Youth 1

    Midland Floodlit Youth League Cup
    2nd Round
    Monday 26th September 2016
    Evesham United Youth 4
    Dudley Town Youth 1
Evesham United’s youth team returned to winning ways in the League Cup with a 4-1 victory against North Western Division side Dudley Town.
It was the away team who started the game brightly and but for a couple of very sharp saves from Callum Marshall would have taken the lead within the first 10 minutes. The Evesham keeper was given no chance when Dudley Town did strike in the 13th minute from a good cross. The pattern was set for the next 30 minutes with both teams being wasteful ...

  • Match Report: Paulton Rovers 0 vs Evesham United 3

    September 26, 2016

For the second game running Evesham United saved their best for the second-half scoring three times at Winterfield Road to beat Paulton Rovers.  The Robins blasted five goals past Bridgwater in the second period last week and are now unbeaten in three Evo-Stik Southern South & West Division games. It was another workmanlike display by United who bossed possession throughout and the win moves Paul Collicutt`s side up to 6th in the league and within striking distance of the play-off positions. Once again there was no place for skipper Matt Sysum and midfield general Ashley Williams, who were both named ...

In the first half Evesham had most of the possession but could not create any clear-cut chances.
The second half, just like last week, was a different matter. In the 54th minute Paul Fahy put Evesham ahead.  The visitors soon had the ball in the net again but it was disallowed for a foul, with Paulton themselves having a goal chalked off for offside.

  • Trip to Paulton Tomorrow

    September 23, 2016

Evesham United striker Adam Mann has been challenged to fill the boots of Lance Smith in tomorrow’s Evo Stik Southern League Division One South and West trip to Paulton Rovers (3pm) according to the Evesham Journal.
Smith snapped up four goals in the Robins’ 5-0 rout of Bridgwater Town last Saturday but has travelled to Geneva on business.
Mann will start in his place and Evesham manager Paul Collicutt wants the striker to seize his chance.
“I have told Adam he’s got to make this opportunity count and it’s his chance to do his best to keep Lance out of the team,” said ...
