Evesham United’s Youth team made it 3 wins out of 3 with a comprehensive victory on Monday evening in front of a good crowd at the Jubilee Stadium. Having returned from last seasons champions Gloucester City on Thursday night with a well earned 2-0 victory, the home team were looking to continue their fine form. After a scrappy opening 20 minutes, it was captain Dan Tustin who struck a sweet shot into the net from outside the box. From that point the pressure continued to mount as Evesham went in search of further goals. The Cinderford keeper was by far the busier and he made several saves before Tom Ravenhall was on hand to make it 2-0 following up on another shot. The game continued in the same manner as the second half commenced with Tustin driving a shot into the bottom corner to make it 3-0. A minute later he  unselfishly set up Ravenhall who saw his shot blocked by some committed defending. Cinderford did pull a goal back in the 73rd minute, with a strike that hit the post on its way into the net. This prompted Evesham to push forward again and Ravenhall finished a good move to restore the 3 goal lead, before a fine chip from Tom Leonard completed the scoring after he had earlier struck the bar with a fierce shot. There was still time for the Cinderford keeper to make further saves as the unbeaten Evesham pressed till the end.
