Loughborough Dynamo Reserves 4 Evesham United Reserves 3

Travelling to Loughborough Dynamo’s Nanpantan Stadium, the young Evesham side were greeted by a senior reserve Loughborough side. As the first team were out of the FA Cup this allowed senior players a run out. The average age of Evesham was 18. Average age of Loughborough was 23.

Evesham showed too much respect to Loughborough and after some good football in the first half Loughborough went in three goals ahead. It became a game of two halves, with three substitutes made due to injuries at half time, the second half started with a quick goal scored by Nathaniel Lewars, assisted by a cutting 45 yard diagonal pass from Oliver Burness.

Unfortunately Nathaniel Lewars was injured in the scoring of the goal, Evesham went down to 10 players. The next 35 minutes saw a different class from the young Evesham side galvanised by the goal and two quick goals from Rohan Spencer and Jack Cullity saw the two sides level. At  3-3 going into the last ten minutes, Loughborough made a further two substations and threw everything at Evesham, their gallant efforts were cruelly spoilt when in the 91st minute, a miss hit strike, floated over a stranded Josh Goddard. This was the third defeat of the season, in all competitions.
