Evesham secured a comeback victory at Kayte Lane this evening.  In front of Bishop’s Cleeve’s biggest crowd of the season by a long way, 242 the visitors won with a brace from Lance Smith.

The home side  took the lead after seven minutes through Jacob Morgan.  Evesham had more of the ball in the first half but failed to create any clear cut chances, although Lance Smith did score but was deemed offside.

Evesham levelled in the 68th minute when Lance Smith nodded in Adam Powell’s free-kick.  On 77 minutes, an Evans corner was forced over the line by Smith.  Elliot Kennedy missed a good chance towards the end, but Evesham held on to record a victory which would have pleased returning manager Paul Collicutt who was in charge at Cleeve for 10 years.
