Evesham Utd went down to a 2-0 home defeat in the FA Carlsberg Trophy 1st Qualifying Round to Leek Town currently top of the Evo-Stik Northern League Division One South.
Leek took the lead on 23 minutes when a right wing cross found its way to Jordan Johnston who cut inside on the angle and shot powerfully into the top corner. Evesham had a goal dissallowed on 33 minutes and Barnfield hit the post five minutes before the break.
Evesham struggled against a strong wind and heavy rain in the second half and went further behind in the 78th minute when Johnston scored a disputed second goal with a tap-in.
