Evesham recorded a much needed win today against basement side Fleet Town with the home side having a 2-1 victory.

The first half saw few chances with Fleet coming closest when they hit the bar.

The second half saw more opportunites, wtih Fleet opening the scoring on 75 minutes when a ball into the box, eluding Louie Barnfather, reached Jack White who controlled the ball to slot into the empty net. From a Richard Mansell free-kick Evesham scrambled the ball in to equalise through Joey Smith after 83 minutes.

In the last few minutes there only looked like being one team to get a winner and it came in the second added minute of injury time through Marcus Palmer slotting home Marcus Jackson’s cross.

Evesham move up one place to 15th.
