Adam Mann scored his 11th of season

Evesham came away from their trip to Eynsham Hall with a victory at North Leigh today.

Evesham scored the only goal of the game in the 17th minute when a Lee Smith corner was not cleared by the North Leigh defence and Adam Mann from 10 yards out scored with a volley.

Neither keeper was seriously tested for the rest of the first half, although Ashley Edenborough went close just before the break.

The second half saw Evesham on top with Mann, Edenborough, Marcus Jackson and Lance Smith all having chances to score.  In the dying minutes Kevin Sawyer saved well to secure the visitors an excellent win against a team on the edge of the play-off race.

So that is one defeat in 22 games which includes 13 clean sheets and currently a nine match unbeaten run.  We need 8 points from the last 6 games to guarantee a play-off place.

EVESHAM UNITED:
Sawyer, Brown (Washbourne 82), Stanley, Harding, Slack (Wood 75), Dovey, Jackson, Wilson, Edenborough, Mann (Lance Smith 78), Lee Smith.
SUB NOT USED: Wellon

Attendance: 114
