Evesham made it 11 wins in a row and 12 unbeaten with a thrilling 3-2 home win over Salisbury in front of their biggest crowd of the season.

The visitors, managed by Steve Claridge, dominated the opening quarter and should have been ahead.  Evesham settled and got into their stride, going ahead on 35 minutes as the ball fizzed around the box and it was Lance Smith with a stooping header to score.

The second half started with Salisbury in the ascendancy, but it was the home side who doubled their lead when a 25 yard shot by Joe Turley was deflected in by Ashley Williams on 65.

Evesham were then reduced to ten men when Lewis Binns was sent-off for an alleged headbutt , but this did not prevent them going three up when a Adam Mann corner was headed in from six yards by Nick Stanley.

In the 83rd minute substitute Carl Brown committed a foul in the box and Tommy Wright scored with the resultant penalty to set up a tense finish.

On 86 minutes Evesham failed to clear their lines and substitute Claudio Herbert prodded home to make it 3-2.

The home side managed to keep Salisbury out in the dying minutes to record an excellent victory over a good side. Now on to Didcot Town on Tuesday evening.
