***Subject to 3.30pm pitch inspection***

New striker Lewis Powell could make his Evesham United debut tonight at Swindon Supermarine in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West (7.45pm) writes Ian Morgan in the Worcester News.

The 27-year-old former Bristol Rovers youngster has joined the Robins from rivals Mangotsfield United, for whom he has bagged 13 goals in 18 matches this term.

Powell joined Evesham on Friday but was cup-tied for their 2-1 home defeat against Spennymoor Town in the FA Trophy.

Evesham manager Paul Collicutt is expecting striker Kevin Slack to join Bishop’s Cleeve after the club made a seven-day approach for him.

Linden Dovey (calf) is struggling despite playing against Spennymoor and Clayton Green is also a doubt after hurting his back the match.

Collicutt said: “The lads put in a good shift against Spennymoor and, on another day, we could easily have gone through.

“We felt aggrieved with some of the referee’s decisions because Spennymoor were a strong and physical side and there were some robust challenges.

“There was controversy with Spennymoor’s winning goal because the move stemmed from a hand-ball which happened in front of the dug-out but it wasn’t spotted by the officials. We are unbeaten in our last two league games and it will be a tough test against a Swindon team who defeated us 1-0 at home earlier in the season.”
