Evesham United Under 15 Colts suffered defeat on penalties in the Ambassador Evesham Junior League Cup Final at the Jubilee Stadium today.

Alveston took the lead on 5 mins with a brilliant left foot strike from Taylor after a  ball over the top.  Another long ball was poorly defended resulting in a nice finish over of the  top of the keeper by Taylor to go 2-0 up on 13 minutes.

Brand set up Cav Ryan after a far post cross on 30 minutes to pull a goal back for Evesham.  Lovely skill by Charlie England saw a shot parried out by the Alveston keeper with Ryan following up and pouncing to finish on 52 mins to make it all square.
Two minutes later a brilliant strike from 30 yards by Jefferson went over the  top of the Evesham keeper after a poor clearance to make it 3-2 to Alveston.  Jefferson smashed another into the roof of the net to make it 4-2 on 65 minutes.
Five minutes later a cross from Jason Ryan was headed in at the far post by George Brand to make it 3-4.  With 8 minutes to go George Molly’s free kick was headed in by Joe Sandham to make it 4-4!
Extra time saw early chances for both sides fired wide and another slick Evesham move ended with Brand hitting a shot straight at the keeper. Evesham  missed a golden chance when the keeper saved with his feet. The match went to penalties in which two penalties were missed by Evesham and clinical strikes by Alveston saw them run out 4-2 winners.
