Evesham’s play-off bid has been bolstered by a recent upturn in form, ending a run of five games without a win by stringing together back-to-back-to-back away wins in five days at Bideford AFC, Bristol Manor Farm and Willand Rovers.

Totton are on a 16 match unbeaten run and have lost just three times this term. They were awarded the league trophy on Tuesday following their home draw with Frome Town. Congratulations to the Stags.

Evesham currently sit in fifth position in the league table, putting them in pole position for the last of the play-off berths. Victory will guarantee this. Tavistock could still sneak it, if they beat Frome at home and we were to lose; a draw for us would leave The Lambs needing a cricket score – a winning margin of at least six goals – to steal fifth place on goal difference. Sixth-placed Bashley are tied with Tavistock on 55 points, but The Bash’s superior goal difference means that victory at Paulton Rovers on Saturday would be enough to overtake us, if we only manage a draw against Totton. Even if we lose, Bashley do not win and Tavistock draw with Frome we would still get 5th.

Evesham can still finish fourth if they win and Wimborne Town slip up at home to Bideford.

Evesham v AFC Totton
Paulton v Bashley
Tavistock v Frome

Evesham lost the corresponding fixture with Totton 2-1 in November conceding a last minute goal.
