Evesham United are hopeful Adam Mann will be fit for the league game at home to Cirencester Town tomorrow, kick off 3pm.
Mann was forced to leave the field at Cinderford Town with ten minutes left as the condition of his eye worsened and ended up in hospital that night.
“He got something in his eye at work,” Collicutt said. “He thought he was going to be OK but it progressively got worse to the point where he was struggling to see out of one eye. “We sent him to the hospital and he came out at 4.30am.
“He has been given an antiseptic cream and hopefully he should be alright but he is suffering with bad headaches.”
Collicutt was delighted to come away from Cinderford with maximum points as goalkeeper Kevin Sawyer saved a penalty before 19-year-old Ewen Dunbar marked his debut with a late goal.
“It was nice to see Ewen score,” Collicutt said.
“He has come through the youth team at Evesham so it was a pat on the back for Neil Hunt and Grant Pinkney.”
Evesham have climbed to fourth and could be boosted by the returns of striker Lewis Powell (thigh), winger Paul Fahy (shoulder) and defender Linden Dovey (dead leg).
But Collicutt insisted his side must keep a tight rein on Cirencester striker Ben Whitehead who has scored 27 goals in 29 games this season.
“If we can stop Ben from playing we will give ourselves a chance because they seem to rely on him quite heavily for goals,” Collicutt said.
“I put a seven-day approach in for him a few months ago but he decided to stay at Cirencester which is his prerogative. We will have our work cut out.”
