League One Cheltenham Town eased to a 4-0 win at Evesham United in both teams’ first pre-season friendlies of the summer and their opening matches under Wade Elliott’s stewardship at Cheltenham and Mike Ford at Evesham.
Goals from Zac Guinan and Ben Williams made it 2-0 before half-time and after the full XI was changed an hour in for the visitors, George Lloyd and Liam Sercombe added two more late on in the 83rd and 89th minute, in front of 680 fans at the Spiers and Hartwell Stadium.
