Evesham entertained Cookley Ladies in a rearranged game on Sunday looking for revenge on a cold still day.  It didn’t take long for them to take the lead when a ball over the top found Amy Summers who coolly lobbed the visitors keeper. Emily Young again impressed on the right wing with her direct running was giving the Cookley defence a tough afternoon.  She combined with Grace Harker who just shot wide.  After dominating the first twenty minutes Cookley suddenly got a grip of the game pushing Evesham back and winning the midfield battle having a few shots which were high and wide.

The second half started and the first twenty minutes were very scrappy but then a corner on the left was cleared to Natalie Potter who belted the ball high in the net which the keeper never moved. This seemed to give Evesham confidence and a great move between Millie Meadows and Rosie Johns found Harker who cut in from the left to net in the far corner. Then seconds later a looping high shot from Potter deceived the keeper and flew over her head for a fabulous goal.

With Cookley looking for a consolation goal the Evesham defence was solid with Meadows and newcomer Nicole Crasic having fine games and keeper Lisa Cropper not having a save to make. The final goal came when a fine ball from Rosie Johns found  Sylvia Dermont on the right who coolly scored  to make it 5-0.
