Bartestree Ladies 1 vs Evesham Utd Ladies 0

Evesham travelled to Bartestree  for the League Cup Semi-Final today.

The hosts started quickly with Evesham defending well. Hannah Campbell had two quick chances with the keeper saving well with their legs. The midfield for the visitors was well on top  but chances were few. Bartestree bossed the last 15 minutes of the half with a good chance going high over the bar.

The second half started with the hosts still on top making numerous substitutions. Evesham had a great chance to score when Diane O’Hare shot narrowly wide. Bartestree were awarded a free kick just outside the area with keeper Lisa Cropper making a great save. The pressure finally paid off with a shot on the left-hand side going in the opposite corner. Evesham suddenly woke up having more possession and going forward  but the final ball was too strong with the wind at their backs.  Injuries to key players and the lack of sub’s finally caught up with Evesham.

Bartestree will play Cookley in the Final.  Next match for Evesham, Welland Ladies February 8th 2pm
