Evesham Utd Ladies 5 vs Worcester Vixens 0
Evesham Ladies returned after a long break in a very truncated season, to record a comfortable victory over a poor Worcester Vixens side last Sunday.
Evesham with the wind in their favour dominated the play but were over hitting the final ball at times. However, it was only a matter of time before they scored the opening goal and Domi Mayhew did that after a surging run. Rosie Johns was then unlucky to hit the crossbar but despite their dominance it remained 1-0 at half time.
After the break Evesham upped their game playing the ball more on the floor and Johns scored with a fine shot, then the returning Sam Scully came off the bench to score.
The visitors did have a couple of chances which keeper Lisa Cropper did well to save. Further goals from the hardworking Grace Harker and Johns gave the final score a fair reflection of the play. Centre half’s Millie Meadows and Hollie Ree were outstanding in defence.
