Worcester Vixens 0 vs Evesham Utd 1

Evesham Utd Ladies played away to Worcester Vixens for the second time in three weeks in a cup game. The first ten minutes were pretty uneventful  with the passing from both sides poor. Evesham were looking more likely to score with Emily Young shooting over when put through by Sam Scully. The home side had a few half chances with the Evesham defence generally on top in a drab first half.

Evesham started to up their game at the start of the second half and within five minutes Sam Scully netted after being put clear.  Further chances for Scully, Emily Young and Tash Bryant were wide or saved by the keeper. Worcester were now playing direct but their final ball was too long and Evesham held on for a comfortable victory, with full backs Courtney Lovell and Nicole Maher having fine games and keeper Rosie Johns not having a shot to save in the match.

Next game Bartestree Ladies home 11.10.15 – 2.00pm
