Evesham’s cup run continues
Evesham United have extended their stay in the FA Trophy as they secured a 1-0 victory against Lymington Town FC on Saturday in the Second Qualifying Round.

A pinpoint half-volley goal late-on from Evesham’s Owen James was enough to see The Robins advance past the Hampshire-based side, a team they will play again this weekend.

From minute one, the home side always looked in control – golden chances from James in the 21st minute and Dan Griffiths on the stroke of half-time showed promise for Evesham.

Despite a valiant second-half display by the visitors, an Owen Feet one-on-one and a brilliant save by Nico Troganowski were some of the highlights for Lymington, James’ deadlock-breaking goal in the 79th minute sealed the fate of the game.

The Robins will find out their opponent for the next round on Monday.
