Evesham took a 5-0 lead in to the half-time break, with Evesham ‘New Boy’ Sean Brain netting a first half hat-trick. Tyrone Tucker-Dixon and Lewis Ellington were also on target for ‘The Robins’. Ellington who was formerly with Bristol Rovers, signed for the Southern League club after Friday nights game, on dual registration along with National League South club Chippenham Town.

Cleeve, who were without Ryan Paddock and Elliot Kennedy, also lost goalkeeper Sam Gilder and left-back Adam Mace to injuries before the break.

James Campbell went on for Evesham at half-time and made it 6-0 with a fine left footed finish, but summer signing from Tuffley Rovers Liam Wright pulled one back for Cleeve with a superb long-range strike.

Steve Davies was teed up by Ewen Dunbar to add Evesham’s seventh before Ash Davies completed the evenings goal scoring for Cleeve.

Former Derby County defender Cain Thomas played in the second half against Cleeve and boss Paul Collicutt is set to make a decision on him this week, with Evesham due to train on Wednesday night.
