The game started at a very lively pace, with the game going from end to end of the pitch with neither keeper having to make a save, such showed the finishing of both sides. The visitors looked the busiest of the two sides in the first 15 minutes and very early on showed that they had some dangerous pace in their front two. Evesham started to come more into the game as the first half continued. It was the home side that took the lead on the 25-minute mark, a Jordan Bryan cross found the head of Ethan Moore whose accurate header found the back of the net, giving the loanee his first goal for the Robins.

As the first 45 ticked on Adam Mann was supplying regular crosses into the Kidlington box, none of which a Robins player was able to get on the end of and the Greens keeper Warrell did not have a save to make. Kidlington had to wait until the 39th minute for their first chance, Anaclet Odhiambo broke free from Evesham’s defenders but, was only able to scuff a shot which ended up going wide of the post after pressure from Linden Dovey.

The second half started just as frantic as the first and the visitors first chance came two minutes in, again Odhiambo’s pace allowed him to get his shot away this time firing the ball just over the bar. Once again, the home side played their way back into the game with Mann and Moore looking like the busiest players on the pitch, creating a couple of half chances until, 61st minute following a great build up Moore hit the bar with the visiting keeper well beaten. Just  four minutes later Warrell in the Kidlington goal made a full stretch diving save to keep out a 25-yard strike from Haskayne. Both sides continued to push to create chances with the visitors have the better possession, pouncing on any stray pass from the home side. In the 69th minute the visitors got their reward with the equaliser they deserved, substitute James managed to find the net with a shot finding its way through a busy box.

It was Adam Mann’s turn to hit the bar just a minute later but that would be the home sides last opportunity, following a period of very poor passing by the Robins it was Kidlington who decided the game was there for the taking. Odhiambo made another of his quick determined runs into the United box and fired his shot past Sawyer in the Evesham goal with 79 gone, Kidlington scored their third with three minutes of normal time remaining, this time by another of their substitutes Browne whose shot found its way past the outstretched Sawyer giving the visitors all three points on their first visit to the Jubilee Stadium.
