Evesham Ladies welcomed Bartestree Ladies to the Jubilee Stadium and a close game was predicted. Evesham welcomed back keeper Lisa Cropper, Millie Meadows and gave a debut to Domi Mahew. Straight from the kick off Meadows made a surging run down the left but the visitors defence cleared the danger. The Bartestree team were playing a fine passing game but Evesham were defending well restricting the visitors to shoot from distance.

Evesham were dealt a blow when leading goal scorer Sam Scully was taken off after a collision with the Bartestree keeper after a half chance and took no further part in the match. The hosts were dealt a further blow with Mahew taken off with Meadows and Jess Dodsworth playing up front and Jess Newman slotting in midfield. There was a further chance for the visitors with Cropper bravely coming off her line to clear the danger and at the other end a Emily Young header being saved by the keeper and cleared.

The second half started with Rosie Johns pushed up front with Mathew and Tash Bryant coming on in the middle of the park. Evesham were playing the ball over the top of a square Bartestree back line with Johns sent clear but shooting straight at the keeper a minute later. Evesham took the lead in bizarre circumstances with Meadows put clear on her own with everybody expecting the referee to blow up for offside, but overruling the linesman she netted over the keeper to give Evesham the lead. Further chances fell to Johns but the keeper saved well. The visitors now behind raised their game and equalised with 5 minutes left with a shot from the left hand side of the area after poor marking from a throw in. The visitors sensed victory but Evesham still defended well and a draw was a fair result in a pulsating game, a credit to ladies football.
