Carl Brown`s 4th goal in four games wasn`t enough to prevent Evesham United from losing 2-1 at Taunton Town in the Calor League Division
One South & West.

The Peacocks went ahead in the 29th minute when Ben Carter followed up to score after keeper Louie Barnfather had made an excellent save
to deny Ross McNab. Evesham had their moments in an even first-half with Lance Smith, Brown and Marcus Palmer all forcing home stopper Joe Perry to make important stops.

Three minutes after half-time, Brown let fly from 20 yards beating Perry all ends up to tie the scores at 1-1. Just ten minutes later, however, former Evesham defender Lewis Tasker brought the ball down in the box before driving low and hard past Barnfather to hand Taunton the lead for a second time.

After this chances dried up for Evesham with Taunton content to get men behind the ball and sit on their lead. United huffed and puffed without testing Perry again before slipping to their third successive defeat.
