Evesham United remain winless in their first league six games following a narrow 3-2 loss away to Frome Town, after Jordan Lymn was sent off for violent conduct.
Frome took the lead in the thirteenth minute after Warren Maidment headed them in front. Moments before Jordan Lymm made an excellent clearance off the line, but the following corner lead to Frome’s first goal.
Evesham equalised in the 34th minute with a goal from Levi Steele. Felix Miles from the right-hand side whipped in a pinpoint ball which met the head of Steele who nodded home, much to the happiness of the Evesham fans.
Just before the half-time whistle Lymn was shown a red card for what seemed to be a kick out at a Frome player.
Due to that red card, it was nothing but one way traffic for the home side, with chance after chance being created. It took just under 15 minutes from time for Frome’s efforts to pay off with Reece Rusher firing the visitors in front. Frome doubled their advantage just under ten minutes later and the game looked dead and buried.
However, Steele popped up late on with another header to restore hope for the visitors. There was a staggering seven minutes of added time, but that still wasn’t enough time for Evesham to equalise. In that period Pierce Mitchell was dismissed for the hosts after a second booking.
