Evesham made another long trip to the South Coast taking on AFC Totton and came away with another convincing win to make it just one defeat in 19 matches.
Evesham took the lead in the 7th minute when Ashley Edenborough headed in Lee Smith’s cross from the left. Totton equalised in the 16th minute when Taylor Edwards headed home a corner kick. It was 1-1 at the break.
The visitors took the lead again in the 57th minute when Edenborough latched on to a ball over the top from goalkeeper Kevin Sawyer to score his second of the game.
The visitors extended their lead in the 64th minute when skipper Matt Sysum stabbed home following a scramble in the area.
The win was sealed in the 77th minute when following another scramble in the area, Jared Wilson converted to make it 4-1.
So the home defeat earlier in the season was avenged and we stay in third place. Crucially two sides just outside the play off places lost (North Leigh and Shortwood) so strengthening our chances.
