Evesham demolished bottom club Bashley with a clinical performance in the New Forest today.
The visitors scored twice in the first half through Adam Mann on 12 minutes and Will Wellon in the 19th, which was his first goal for the club.
The second half saw Evesham dominate with goals from Marcus Jackson in the 53rd minute, his first of the season, 71st and 80th minute efforts from substitute Liam Harding (his first goals for Evesham), a second for Mann on 84 and Nick Stanley made it seven in the 87th minute.
Bashley were reduced to ten men on the hour when Leighton Speechley-Price was sent off for two yellow cards.
Evesham stay fourth, but are just one point behind Stratford Town who lost today at home. That is 11 wins, two draws and one defeat in the last 14 league games.
Interestingly Evesham’s biggest away win in recent years, which was at Halesowen Town 8-0, occurred on the corresponding weekend in 2011!
