Evesham won their Preliminary Round match to set up a First Round Qualifying game with Leek Town.

After a quiet opening with few chances testing both keepers, Market Drayton took the lead through a bicycle kick by Sam Westray on 40 minutes.

In the second half, an improved display saw Evesham score three times.  First on 48 minutes Lance Smith’s good work was rewarded when Linden Dovey slotted home past the keeper.

A second was added midway through the half, when Carl Brown won the ball in midfield running 30 yards before shooting under the advancing keeper.

The third saw Marcus Jackson win the ball in midfield, a forceful run by Jared Wilson saw his cross turned in by man of the match Lance Smith.
