Evesham United rounded off their home fixtures for the season with a narrow home win over North Leigh thanks to Karnell Chambers’ goal.

The Cheltenham Town youngster struck in the 19th minute, cutting in from the right and slotting low past goalkeeper James Foster.

Evesham were on top for the rest of the first half with Ashley Williams forcing Foster into action with a smart save at his near post when the midfielder seemed certain to make it 2-0.
Adam Mann and Clayton Green were both close in the second half, but Chambers’ strike was enough.

Evesham complete the season at Marlow next Saturday.

If they win and Winchester City lose both their remaining games (against Slimbridge and Shortwood United), they will sneak into the play-offs on goal difference.
