It was a mad mad day at the Spectrum Football Ground in Guildford with five players sent off.  James Vercesi opened the scoring for Evesham with a header from a Richard Mansell free kick. However midway through the first half, Evesham were reduced to ten men when loanee Ed Williams was sent off for stopping a goal-scoring opportunity.  From the resultant free kick the home side scored through Walsh.  Bridgeman then put Guildford ahead on 38 minutes.  Each team had a player dismissed on the stroke of half time, when Guildford’s Walsh and Evesham’s centre-half Allton Axton were involved in an off the ball incident.

In the second half things got worse for Guildford, firstly they were also reduced to nine men when DeFreitas was shown the red card and from the resultant penalty skipper Mansell equalised.  Three minutes later Stapleton earned himself a second yellow card which meant the home side went to eight men.  In the last 20 minutes Evesham laid siege to the Guildford goal, but were unable to find a winner.

Evesham slipped one place to 14th, but just one defeat in eight.  In other news Louie Barnfather has joined from Bishops Cleeve.
