Boss Paul Collicutt is warning Evesham United to beware of a backlash from managerless Swindon Supermarine tonight (7.45), according to the Worcester News.

The Southern League West play-off rivals do battle at the Jubilee Stadium four days after Supermarine suffered a 5-0 home thrashing against Bideford.

That result led to the sacking of manager Dave Webb last night in spite of ninth-placed Swindon remaining within two points of the in-form Robins in fourth.

“They had a result I know they will be upset by but I have no doubt they will be very focused,” said Collicutt.

“Had we managed to take one or two of the other chances we created we would have made life a lot easier for ourselves but having said that, their keeper put in a top-notch performance.

“Our games with Supermarine are generally tight but they do like to play the right way so we should see a good contest.

“It will be very difficult, they are one of the favourites to be involved in the play-offs and like to play attractive football.”

Archie Haskayne should recover from a knock but doubts linger over the fitness of Paul Fahy (shoulder) and Jordan Bryan (ankle). Defender Matt Bennett is unavailable.

Footnote: Nick Rhodes has left Evesham United and returned to Cinderford Town.
