Evesham United’s trip to Yate Town this afternoon (3pm) sees two of Southern League West’s form sides pitted against one another.

The Robins go to Lodge Road on the back of a six-match unbeaten run that features four wins and they sit in the sixth and final play-off position.

Yate have gone one better, dropping just two points from their past six outings to move up to 11th and within five points of the top six.

Evesham’s hopes of strengthening their position were dashed when last Saturday’s home clash with Slimbridge and Tuesday’s match at Cinderford Town were postponed due to waterlogged pitches.

Wing-back Paul Fahy is out with a shoulder injury picked up in the 1-0 win over Paulton Rovers on January 13, but he could be back in contention to face Barnstaple Town next Saturday.

Midfielder Ashley Williams is sidelined with a broken toe.
