Evesham United Juniors Under 10s won the Studley Tournament against some strong opposition from the MJPL and other surrounding areas.

Feeling so proud of all the Evesham Utd boys again today after another fantastic tournament, following on from last year.

A tense start in the first game which Evesham lost 2-0 but they soon found their team spirit and won the second match 2-0 with an own goal and a great finishing touch from Matthew Marion, our next game was a bye which followed by a 1-0 win was enough for Evesham to proceed through to the semi-finals.

A nerve racking 10 minute semi-final ended in a 0-0! Which Evesham’s goalkeeper Phoenix Harding-Roberts bravely took centre stage in goal ready for the dreaded penalties to which Evesham won 3-2 after some cracking penalties by Liam, Rowan and Jordi.

Into the final the atmosphere was intense… two teams of dedicated players and a sideline full of very proud parents watched in ore. The whistle blew after 10minutes of outstanding play from both sides which resulted in 5 agonising minutes of extra time. Eventually with the final minute left to spare Rowan assisted the perfect pass to Jordi who scored the winning goal! A well deserved end for our motivated players and coach (Lee Fowles)
