  • Result: Evesham United 3 vs Slimbridge 0

    February 22, 2018

Evesham United moved up to fifth in the Evo-Stik League South West table after a comfortable 3-0 win over third-bottom Slimbridge at The Spiers & Hartwell Jubilee Stadium on Wednesday night.
United opened the scoring after 24 minutes when Carl Brown beat Swans` keeper Oliver Hall from an acute angle. The hosts’ Archie Haskayne saw his effort cleared off the line shortly prior to the break and then Brown should have doubled the lead but tread on the ball five yards out when easier to score.
That was the only goal of the first half, but less than a minute into the ...

  • Slimbridge at Jubilee Tonight

    February 21, 2018

Paul Fahy faces a race against the clock to make his long-awaited Evesham United return at home to Slimbridge tonight (7.45) according to the Worcester News.
Beset by shoulder problems in recent weeks, Fahy’s comeback would be welcome with Lewis Binns and Andy Lewis carrying knocks from Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Didcot Town.
The setback saw Robins slip back out of the play-off places with manager Paul Collicutt keen to oversee a return to form at the Jubilee Stadium.
“There is no way we can underestimate them,” said Collicutt. “They turned us over at our place last season so we know it will ...

  • Result: Didcot Town 3 vs Evesham United 0

    February 18, 2018

Evesham fell to seventh place and out of the play-off places after the heaviest away league defeat of the season going down 3-0 at Didcot Town yesterday.
Evesham started brightly and had the majority of possession in the opening quarter of an hour with Archie Haskayne, Carl Brown and Andy Lewis all having efforts at goal.  Didcot then got into the match launching a few attacks but the visitors continued to be dangerous. Will Wellon, Adam Mann and Jordan Bryan had their opportunities saved.
The nearest to a goal came when a Matt Liddiard header was stopped on the line with a ...

  • Trip to Didcot Tomorrow

    February 16, 2018

Evesham United boss Paul Collicutt reckons Saturday’s trip to Didcot Town is “probably our biggest” game of the season to date according to the Worcester News.
Home hiccups have kept clipping Robins  wings just as they look to take full flight in the Southern League West promotion race with Saturday’s 5-2 defeat to Cirencester Town the latest setback.
Five of Evesham’s eight league losses have been at the Jubilee Stadium but they take an encouraging away record to Loop Meadow this weekend, home of a fellow promotion contender that has won 10 out of 15 at their headquarters.

“It is a massive game ...
