League leaders Frome Town arrived at the Spiers & Hartwell Stadium having only lost one game so far this season. The Worcestershire Robins made the better start but, were unable to capitalise on their early chances.

With 26 minutes on the clock, former Evesham striker Kane Simpson put the visitors ahead when a long-range cross found Simpson whose first-time strike gave Lewis Clayton no chance in the hosts goal.

The scores were level just three minutes later when Callum Ebanks received the ball from Adam Mace, Ebanks excellent shot was well placed giving the Frome keeper no chance, and the home side a deserved equaliser.

Frome Town once again took control of the contest on 34 minutes; Simpson broke through the line added his and Frome’s second. James Ollis got the visitors third goal on the stroke of half time, with another long-range strike.

Ollis completed the scoring in the 76th minute, this time linking up with Simpson to get his second goal and a fourth for Frome.

On an afternoon when both sides played some decent football, the league leaders clinical finishing gave them the points and made Evesham United pay.
