Match report by Josh Rogers

Evesham United scored two late goals with a Levi Steele hat-trick as they won 5-3 against Melksham Town.

Evesham opened the scoring inside five minutes through Amer Awadh after a cutback from Will Owens.

However, their lead was very short-lived as two minutes later Elliot Haffenden replied after a ball was whipped in and he was there to meet it at the back post with his head.

Just under 20 minutes later Steele scored a three-minute brace before Melksham’s Samuel Hendy lobbed the keeper from well inside his half.

Another cracking strike from Melksham’s Albert Hopkins into the top corner saw them equalise four minutes from time.

The second half had plenty of chances and it took nine minutes from time for Evesham to take the lead after a shambles at the back between the keeper and defender.

Steele rounded off his hattrick two minutes before the 90-minute mark.
