Report from Malvern Town.

MALVERN Town secured a deserved away win in our Worcestershire derby at Evesham United as we chalked up a 2-0 triumph.

An early corner was met by the head of Reece King, but Harry Clark was unable to get a touch in front of goal.
Some neat play on the left ended with Jack Watts cutting inside and firing just over from outside the area with ten minutes on the clock. A strike from former Town man, Ethan Moran, took a wicked deflection as Josh Bishop did well to change his position to make the save. Then shortly afterwards, a flicked header from a free-kick was clawed away by Bishop.
We took the lead with a neat team goal just before the half-hour mark as Clark played in Watts who put the ball on a plate for Jordan Annear to finish. Our lead was doubled on 37 minutes when Watts carved out a chance for Harry Clark to stroke home.

The second period started with the home side looking to get back in the game as we had to defend resolutely. The home side had the ball in the net on 54 minutes through Willcox but it was ruled out for offside. As we continued to soak up the pressure, Bishop did well to save from a free-kick in a promising position. In a rare foray forward during the second period, Bullock tried his luck from distance but was well off target. We were doing well to frustrate our hosts as the clock ticked down and hold on to our deserved lead. In the final minute, a looping header went close for the hosts and then Bishop saved well in front of goal as a hard-working and determined away display earned us a deserved three points.
