Title favourites Poole Town ended Evesham`s impressive five match unbeaten run following a narrow 1-0 victory at the Tatnam Ground on Tuesday night. The Dolphins are now just two points behind Evo-Stik South & West leaders Hungerford Town with four matches in hand.

Evesham went into the game missing several regulars through work commitments and injury and forced to name a number of inexperienced youngsters on the bench. The kick-off was delayed by fifteen minutes following the late arrival of the match officials and honours were even at half-time with neither side able to break the deadlock. That all changed just before the hour mark when Adam Kelly shot the home side ahead from close range.

This proved the difference between the two sides and enough to earn Poole a league double and remain on course to challenge Hungerford for an automatic promotion spot.
