It took Frome just four minutes to take the lead through Kane Simpson after a mix-up at the back between Ben Taylor and Michael O’Regan.

Evesham dominated large parts of the first half but could not put the ball in the net and inevitably paid the price.

Frome doubled their lead two minutes before half-time through Simpson after he was gifted the ball once again from poor defending.

Just over five minutes into the second half The Robins pulled one back through a header from William Owens.

Simpson bagged his hattrick and regained Frome’s two-goal lead after a beautiful chip over Taylor a little over ten minutes later.

A straight reply from the home side saw Freddie Willcox brought down in the box to win a penalty which was converted by Steele into the bottom left-hand corner.

The Robins have now just one win in their last seven, in contrast to the away side who have now won six out of their last seven.

With seven games remaining Evesham have been pushed out of the playoffs by Bideford.
