A memorial trophy is up for grabs when Evesham United host Blue Square Bet Premier and FA Trophy finalists Newport County on Saturday 14th July at the new Spiers & Hartwell Jubilee Stadium.

The match is in memory of Carl Lewis who was a lifelong Newport fanatic. Carl sadly passed away on the 10th July 2009 aged just 48. He was the brother in law of Evesham committee member Morris Allan who suggested the fixture and has provided a trophy which Carl’s widow Michelle and family, Carl, Joseph, Christina and Rachel will present to the winners. Several other family members have been invited by EUFC as guests to our new footballing family stadium.

This game is the start of a busy week of friendlies with Hereford Utd and Shrewsbury Town visiting us on Tuesday and Thursday respectively, followed by near neighbours League 2 side Cheltenham Town on 21st July.

Tickets are priced at £9 for ADULTS and £5 for O.A.P’S & UNDER 16′S.  EVESHAM UNITED JUNIORS FREE
