Starting at our pre-season friendly on July 11 against Bromsgrove Sporting, the coming season’s home games, are planned to be broadcast on internet radio. Supporters unable to make the game live or those who wish to listen while watching the action can tune in.

Supporters will be invited to join in the commentary or act as a pundit. This brings a new dimension to the club and we are appreciative to Tim Allan for his expertise and willingness to help the club move forward.

Background detail

Tim found working on one Internet radio station at a time frustrating. Tim founded Radio Sports Live in September 2020 which was born from a dream which had lasted almost 10 years. This dream turned into reality with the station broadcasting from his home to initially cover non-league football in and around Dorset at clubs like Hamworthy United and Christchurch.

After moving away from his south coast home in Poole, Tim decided it was time to rethink. His lifelong friend Paul stepped in to take the station over in December 2021, which allowed Tim time to pursue other avenues that opened up for him. Still to this day Tim presents regular shows and helps out Paul behind the scenes.

Radio Sports Live are a non-profit radio station run by volunteers giving their time for the cause. Presenters invest in their own equipment to bring you live and pre-recorded shows. Any help with donations will always be appreciated to help cover the running costs such as mobile internet, computers, microphones, headphones, leads, streaming services, website hosting and the all-important PPL licence, plus many smaller items.

The aim is to bring more people onboard to give them a chance at presenting and broadcast specialist shows from their own homes and give them a step on the ladder. We air shows comprising of rock, the 60s, 70s and 80s, soul, party, dance, reggae, and much more. If you’re a mobile, club, or pub DJ please email your interest and experience.
