Evesham fell to their second consecutive home league defeat and Shortwood achieved a double over the Robins this season when the visitors won 2-1 at the Jubilee this afternoon.
It was festive disappointment after the home side had taken the lead in the 34th minute when a Lorcan Sheehan corner was met powerfully by centre-half Liam Harding with a header into the right of the goal.
Shortwood equalised ten minutes into the second half when Matt Bennett headed in from a corner from the left and won it ten minutes from time after centre-forward Jake Lee finished well in the penalty-box.
The visitors deserved the victory and it is now three defeats in five, but we remain in third place.
Full report to follow.
