Adam Mann’s 32nd minute goal was enough to seal maximum for Evesham United against Bridgwater Town at the Jubilee Stadium.

Mann set up strike partner Lance Smith for a good chance in the fourth minute, but it was well saved.  Liam Harding nodded an effort over the bar in the eighth minute.  Teenager Archie Haskayne went on for his debut in place of the injured Carl Brown in the 19th minute, having signed from Slimbridge 24 hours before the game.

Smith was denied by another good stop from Liam Kingston and the rebound fell to Nick Stanley, who shot wide. Mann lobbed in the afternoon’s only goal and he nearly made it 2-0 early in the second half, but his curling effort cleared the post.

Substitute Mark Magee raced through, but Kingston blocked well and and Bridgwater missed a late chance to snatch a point
